Today I am linking up with the lovely Becky to participate in my first ever ‘Treat Yourself Tuesday’! And with it being December, I thought it would be fun to highlight the ways I will be treating myself this holiday season! Let me pull up my Pandora Country Christmas station and we’ll get started.
This holiday season, I fully intend to enjoy my favorite Christmas treats, butter, sugar, and all.
On that note, I will also be treating myself to homemade hot cocoa by the Christmas tree. Most likely on the daily. There is something so therapeutic about curling up on the couch and enjoying a hot beverage each evening.
This season, I will take the time to drive and stroll through neighborhoods full of holiday lights. While of course, listening to even more holiday tunes. You can never have too much ‘I’ll be Home for Christmas’.
And most importantly, I will spend as much time as I can with the people I love. Whether it be by taking a yoga class or watching Hallmark movies with my mom or having an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party with friends, I will appreciate the season for the opportunity it provides to spend quality time with loved ones.
Yes to ugly christmas sweater parties and hot cocoa nights in with movies! You are right up my alley with seasonal activities 🙂
I love how even the most simple activities feel cozy and festive during the holidays!
Holiday lights on palm trees! I will take that over this snowy weather any day 🙂
Haha, I definitely agree with you there! Being from Iowa originally, I definitely appreciate the winter weather in Texas!
I LOVE all of these things! We have a 24 Days of Togetherness tradition so each day we do something different together. It’s lots of fun and involves everything you named!
That is so awesome! I would love to do something like that this year! 🙂
i just can’t wait to be home and start doing holiday things, sadly I need to wait to the 22nd to really feel this holiday!
I know that you are so busy right now. I hope Christmas is extra amazing to you this year, you definitely deserve it!
Everything you mentioned sounds perfect! I am so excited for this holiday season! I think out of everything, I’m looking forward to time spent with friends and family. I have a couple of Christmas parties and one Ugly Sweater party to attend. Whoo-hoo!
I am too! It seems like the two of us always have really similar ideas of what we look forward to and enjoy! 🙂
That’s very true 🙂 Too bad we live so far away! That’s one of the worst thing about blogging!
Love all of this! I fully intend on treating myself to all.the.cookies this season as well (and have already started!) — it’s all about balance.. I guess I’ll just be running a few extra miles to cancel them out haha!
I totally agree, balance is the way to go 🙂 I will happily add some squats to my workouts and then enjoy a frosted brownie!!
Oooh your patriotic-looking treats have me drooling up here in freezing cold Chicago. Actually, it’s not freezing but seeing lights on palm trees has me extremely jealous 😉 I am going to have to turn on some Christmas tunes tomorrow night and rock out to treat myself to the season. Thanks for linking up! ❤
I had so much fun linking up, thanks for coming up with such an awesome idea! I do love the lights on palm trees, especially after spending so many winters in the Midwest!
Love chocolate covered pretzels! I’m trying to treat myself by scaling back on the sweets, I’m on overload haha
Haha, I know what you mean! Sometimes I go a little overboard and go to bed realizing it!!
Sure sounds like you’ll be having a fabulous holiday season 🙂 I plan on enjoying the 24 days of togetherness Joshua and I have planned out: buying new ornament, holiday beverage, slow dancing to christmas music, massages, cookie baking, etc…
I love the 24 days of togetherness idea! This is the first year that I have heard of it! Your days sound perfect!! Especially those massages, the best 🙂
Love the country Christmas station!! Please tell me you watched the Country Christmas music show last week! It was adorable.
& I’m currently sipping on my coffee in bed while my baby boy sleeps next to me – total treat! 🙂
I missed it but heard and loved the Duck Dynasty part!! It sounds like you had a perfect morning 🙂
